Since 1995 we are showing our diving guests the most beautiful diving places in Kaş and it`s surrounding areas. The same way we always keep an familiar-like, friendly atmosphere and give an individual service to every diving guest. There is no "diving mass-industry" at Sirena Diving - Diving groups and courses are always done in small groups up to 4 persons maximum. No hectic, no stress - just relaxed diving.

Our diving boat "Sirena" always starts two times a day (morning and afternoon) to the popular dive spots of the area. Non diving guests ( like your wife / friend /f amily) are welcome to join the boat trips for swimming & snorkeling. Needs and wishes of our diving guests have an high priority at Sirena: All plans for daily diving activities are made according to the wishes of our customers.

Our Diving Center office ( opening times every day from 10:00 to 23:00 ) is an open place for all divers. Especially in the evening times we like to meet our customers here to serve an Turkish tea. For theory parts of diving course we have an extra classroom with TV, video, books. For those of you who want to learn diving and go for an international license, Sirena offers professional training programs from absolute beginner up to semi-professional. courses are given in English, germane and Turkish language. Needed theory materials in those languages is available here.

For certified divers, that would like to increase their knowledge and performance, many speciality course are offered. Also DAN (= Divers Alert Network) courses in medical first aid using oxygen are part of our training programs. Sirena Diving is member of the "Hyperox" divers insurance that provides medical treatment for diving accidents. For a small fee, 100% insurance for all diving accidents & injuries ( decompression chamber treatment included ) can get bought for the duration of your vacation in Kaş.

DIVING COURSES
Safe, up to date and professional diving education has always been our great concern. The diving education is conducted according to PADI, CMAS & DAN standards. Our instructors are all certified, insured and registered as professional diving instructors.

For those guests who have never had the opportunity to breathe under water, we run trial dives every day. Under the supervision of a qualified instructor you can make your first experience in diving. If you get hooked, there is a wide range of courses to choose from.

"Hand in hand" diving is a program that enables you to learn basic theory and skills necessary to do a boat-dive with a qualified instructor. Or you can enroll in a full open water diver or CMAS 1 Star course that the Sirena Diving Center runs several times a week.

The course is structured in easy to understand modules. The first two days you spend with confined water training, and theory lessons in classroom. From the third day on you will be ready to dive from the boat on great dive spots of Kaş. Generally it takes 5-7 days to complete a beginners course.

For qualified divers we run a wide range of continuous education on all levels and most of the specialty courses according to PADI, CMAS & VIT standards. In the CMAS system we offer beginner courses, free diving courses and advanced training/certification up to CMAS Assistant Instructor. In the PADI system we offer courses from beginner ( Open Water Diver ) up to experienced levels like PADI Divemaster or Master Scuba Diver. The from all international diving associations ( starting with CMAS** or PADI Rescue Diver) highly recommended DAN course "First Aid with Oxygen For Scuba Diving Injuries" is also part of our training offers. DAN courses are given in English and germane language.

Courses are organized in arrangement with your holiday program. Our staff speaks German, English and Turkish.

DIVING BOAT
Our diving boat "Sirena", located in the harbor of Kaş have a length of 14 meters and is powered by a 135 HP motor. I has space for around 20 divers including equipment and offers a sunbathing deck as well as restroom, shower & kitchen. For diving guests with own scuba-diving equipment, useful boxes are provided to store your personal stuff. the boat is also inside the harbor under 24-hour protection by our stuff - all your personal gear is safe on the boat day and night and you don`t need to carry your stuff every day. Further the boat is equipped with CB, radio, life-nests, oxygen & medical first aid kit and free rentable scuba and snorkeling equipment.

Equipment of the boat in detail:
- 30 121 steal made tanks
- 20 complete scuba-diving equipment ( Mares, Cressi & Scubapro )
- 20 diving masks, snorkels and 25 around per pairs of flippers in several sizes
- 5,5 mm. longjohn/west wet-suits in different sizes
- 3 mm. shorties in several sizes
- 200 Kg. weights in pieces of 2,4 and 6 pounds
- weight belts in many various sizes

All our rental equipment is not older than 6 months and full technically checked.

Non-diving guests are always welcome on boat for swimming & snorkeling.

THE DIVE SITES OF KAŞ
The area around Kaş belongs to the Top 100 diving destinations worldwide. This is because this area have an high amount of underwater life, combined with very clear water (up to 40 m visibility) and beautiful underwater landscapes. Diving in Kaş often reminds you of ancient times : Many very old amphoras and other ancient relict's ( many of them more than 2000 years old ) are waiting for your discovery !

There are around 30 different dive spots, that are all reachable within 30 minutes starting from the harbor of Kaş. Diving in Kaş contains an huge amount of possibilities like wreck-diving, cave-diving, underwater canyons, a lot of stone reefs, swim-through & tunnels, night diving as well as underwater art exhibitions and many great places for swimming & snorkeling. A few of our diving spots we are introducing here. Just refer to the dive spots overview on the right.

The marine life : Barracuda, Stingrays, Sea-Turtles, rare Snails, Dorades, Jack fishes, Soldier fishes, Octopuses, Murray-Eels, Trumpet fishes, many kinds of Brasses as well as huge Groupers of several kinds and many more amazing underwater life forms are seen regularly in this area.

2 Times a day our diving boat goes out for diving. Departure for the morning dive is 10:00 o'clock and for the afternoon dive 15:00 o'clock. After the morning dive the boat returns to the harbor of Kaş, where everybody might have a noon break. It is up to our diving guests to join 1 dive or 2 dives a day, therefore there will be enough time to combine diving with family life or just other holiday activities. For night dives we always arrange this directly in Kaş - just as our diving guests want it.

This dive site is only one of more than 25 different dive spots that Kaş - Turkey has to offer. We have great underwater reefs, several ship-wrecks, a lot of ancient stuff underwater, caves, diveable tunnels & swim through, deep-diving possibilities and much more. Diving in Kaş / Turkey is possible for all levels & diving certificates - This area has something to offer for everybody : beginners as well as for experienced divers.

ASSI ISLAND
Things to see : Anemones, soft corals, Rare Snails, Stingrays, Octopus, Murray Eels, Brasses, Jack fishes, Trigger-Fishes, Groupers. Great place for underwater photography.

Depth : 12 - 40 meters
Adaptable to : Beginners & experienced divers
Specials : Sometimes current. Alternate diving routes are possible as well at this spot

BLUE HOLE
Things to see : Anemones, Crabs, Octopus, soft-corals & Groupers.
The Blue Holeґs entry begins at 18 m.

Depth : 20 - 40 meters
Adaptable to : Experienced divers
Specials : Free descent at anchor place direct to 20 meters.

PIDGIN ISLAND
Things to see : sculpture of white shark ( was made underwater ), sometimes underwater art exhibitions around the island, small wooden shipwreck, jack fishes, turtles, groupers, stingrays ( eagle ray ), old amphoras & soft corals.
Dive spot Informations : Time to reach by boat 25 minutes
Depth : 3 - 36 meters
Adaptable to : All levels
Specials : Many different things to see & different routes to dive at this spot.

FLYING FISH
The No 1 dive spot in whole Turkey !
Things to see : Airplane wreck from second world war ( 50-65 meters ) , Barracuda, Rare Snails, Stingrays, Octopus, Murray Eels, Brasses, Jack fishes, Trigger-Fishes, many huge Groupers.
Dive spot Informations : Time to reach by boat 35 minutes
Depth : 6 - 60 meters
Adaptable to : Beginners & experienced divers
Specials : Airplane wreck is only allowed to very experienced divers with minimum 100 logged dives and an approval by an Sirena instructor. Often current.

LYKIA WRACK
Things to see : 8 year old small shipwreck ( name was "Lykia" ), soldier fishes, octopuses, nice drop off wall, mural eels, underwater fresh water springs etc.

Depth : 8 - 25 meters
Adaptable to : All levels
Specials : Shipwreck at 20 meters depth, nice drop off

CANYON
Things to see : Underwater Canyon, Shipwreck, Sepia, Rare Snails, Barracuda, Octopus, Murray Eels, Brasses, Jack fishes, Groupers.
Dive spot Informations : Time to reach by boat 30 minutes
Depth : 3 - 40 meters
Adaptable to : Experienced divers
Specials : Great underwater canyon, that falls down from 3 - 23 m. Several swim through, 60 year old iron shipwreck. Alternate routes to max. 18 m. for beginner divers are possible. Sometimes strong current at surface.

2 BROTHERS REEF
Things to see at this diving spot : Stingrays, very nice underwater landscapes ( several reefs ), dragon-heads, jack fishes, trumpet fishes, octopuses, rare snails, groupers & mural eels.

Depth : 3 - 40 meters
Adaptable to : Beginners & experienced divers
Specials : Several different diving routes possible at this spot.

NEPTUN REEF
Things to see : very old ancient cans & amphoras ( up to 2000 years old ), rare snails, trigger fishes, jack fishes, groupers, brasses, small canon, sometimes sea-turtles.
Dive spot Informations : Time to reach by boat 35 minutes
Depth : 12 - 40 meters
Adaptable to : All levels
Specials : Great place with many things to discover. Mostly one dive is not enough !

CAVE II
Things to see : cave that is filled with sweet water. Also several swim thoughs. many small fishes, sometimes sea turtles.
Dive spot Informations :
Time to reach by boat 10 minutes
Depth : 5 - 25 meters
Adaptable to : Entry of cave for experienced divers only
Specials : Nice small cave, filled with fresh water that comes directly from inside mountain springs ( very cold ). Easy to combine with a small drop off dive as well. Alternate diving routes for beginner divers possible.

Things to see : 180 year old Ottoman ship wreck, ancient cans & amphoras, Rare Snails, Stingrays, Octopus, fish-farm, Murray Eels, Brasses, Jack fishes, Trigger-Fishes, Groupers, jellyfishes & crabs.
Dive spot Informations : Time to reach by boat 10 minutes
Depth : 3 - 30 meters
Adaptable to : All levels
Specials : Parts of old Ottoman shipwreck with ancient cargo

HIDAYET
Things to see : Small airplane wreck ( new in 2006 ) around 16 meters depth, 2-stripe brasses, mural eels, groupers and sometimes jack fishes.

Depth : 3 - 30 meters
Adaptable to : All levels
Specials : Small diveable airplane wreck ( not as deep as the "big one" )

OASIS REEF
Things to see : Sea turtles ( sometimes ), barracudas, many big shells, sepia, groupers, stingray, ancient amphoras, soldier fishes, snails and many more small things.

FIRST LEVEL COURSES (PADI SCUBA DIVER)
Get your certificate in only 2 days! At the end of the program, you are free to explore the big blue with your instructor. Hurry, your international certificate is waiting for you.

PADI OPEN WATER DIVER or CMAS 1*
In a friendly and professional atmosphere, we introduce you to the underwater world. In about 4 days, you can be a certified diver. Normally the course takes four days but for success criteria is based on performance not time; it may take a little longer. After the completion of the course an internationally recognized certificate, logbook and unforgettable memories are waiting for you.

PADI ADVENTURE DIVER COURSE
Takes one day and 3 dives. You will have 3 specialty dives that you will select from deep dive, underwater photography, boat dive, underwater specialist, night dive, S & R dive, cavern dive, drift dive, underwater navigation dive. Get your internationally recognized certificate in one day.

ADVANCED COURSES (PADI ADVANCED OPEN WATER or CMAS 2*)
If you have PADI OPEN WATER or equivalent certification you can now take advanced courses in which you can improve your diving skills. It includes 2 core dives (deep dive and underwater navigation dive) and 3 selective dives (multi-level dive, search and recovery dive, boat dive, underwater naturalist dive, cavern dive, drift dive, peak performance buoyancy). Depending on your progress and work, you may take your international certificate in 2 days.

EMERGENCY FIRST RESPONSE
You never know when you might need it. Necessary for everyone. To become a PADI RESCUE DIVER, this certificate is required. It takes 5-6 hours of academic training with video and Annie baby. It does not consist of diving.

PADI RESCUE DIVER COURSE
After having PADI ADVANCED OPEN WATER and MEDIC FIRST AID COURSE you can join this program. It takes minimum 2 days. You will be equipped with all the skills on rescue in water. This is a new experience for you.

PADI DIVE MASTER, CMAS 3* COURSE
The way of becoming a professional member in PADI family. At the end of this course you will evaluate your career choices again as you can now launch a new one as a 'diving instructor'. Broadening your horizon, and creating yourself an alternative career option is in your hands.

ALL COURSES INCLUDE INSURANCE, FULL DIVING EQUIPMENT, AND PRINTED MATERIAL IN YOUR LANGUAGE.

DIVE POINTS
We have more than 15 dive points around Bodrum with typical Aegean and Mediterranean flora and fauna. Shallow water diving points offer dives without currents but full of fish for first timers, while some deeper points have small currents for experienced divers. There are two reefs with depths ranging from 7 to 40 meters. They are full of fish with good chances for photography. There are two caverns one at 12 meters, a bubble cavern. Other one is at 6 meters with air in it, walls reflecting different shades of deep blue. Drop-offs allows you to discover something different.

At times visibility reaches up to 40 meters meaning that you are now diving in crystal clear waters, literally! Rock formations in the dive points offer shelter for groupers, octopuses, learfish, barracudas and other different creatures. You also may see amphoras and antique anchors which are more than 2000 years old.

Big reef
20 minutes by boat. Depth to the south is 32 meters and to the north 36. Groupers, barracudas, learfish and octopuses are the head actors of the reef. You may even come across a caretta turtle if you are lucky.

Small reef
200 meters from the high reef towards Bodrum, sharing the same habitat with the high reef. Both reefs are waiting for you to show how endless blue looks like.

Poyraz Cavern
Not a cave but a cavern... Entrance is at 6 meters and there is air in it. We call this the Seal Cavern as we have seen seal in the area on occasion.

Bubble Cave
Bubble Cave in Karaada have its' entrance at 12 meters and its' ceiling is at 6. The air bubbles you produce escapes from the holes in the ceiling producing amazing scenery. You'll love this one...

Kargı Island
500 meters from the tip of Akyarlar, one of the closest points to the Greek Islands. Diving point at the Gökova side of the island starts at 20 meters and with a gentle slope goes down to 36. One must pay attention to the surface and deep currents towards Cos.

Köçek Island
Dive points at this rocky island, about a nautical mile from Bodrum, has depth of 10 meters at the side towards land, and 20 - 22 meters at side towards Greek Islands. At the Gökova side of the island depth reaches up to 34 - 36 meters. There are abundance of amphorae remains, and a lot of fish, mostly blackeyed bream.

Kaçakçı Bay
This bay at the Aegean side of Karaada is adviced as a training site for experienced divers.

Yassıkaya Island
This is a rocky island suitable for diving. It is located 500 meters from Karaada to the direction of Gökova. In the area there are a lot of sea creatures including octopuses.

Orak Island
Located in the Gökova Bay, it takes about 1,5 hours to reach this island with boat. It is the furthermost dive point in Bodrum area. Even though there are not a lot of fish to see, the sea bottom is topographically interesting. At both sides of the island depth reaches up to 70 meters.

Other
Aksona, Fener, Poyraz Port, Karaada Gökova side, Kurtoğlu are also among dive points around Bodrum suitable for wall, deep, shallow, training dives. It is possible to see many different types of sea creatures here.

DISCOVER SCUBA DIVING
Are you ready to open the doors to the underwater world you have seen on TV and wondered about? This is your chance to experience weightlessness and soundlessness; the feeling closest to being in the space, answering the question "is diving a sport that I may like?", and the most important spending a day that is very different from your everyday.

In this excursion, - that have no prerequisites; not even swimming - you will have a dive of about 30 minutes after the 1 hour briefing. If you decide that diving is a sport for you and take a course with Crystal Divers, this will be considered as your first day. Your dive will be one-on-one with your instructor.
If you wish we can help you to take a piece of this experience to home by taking a photo of you under the water. Also a memorial certificate will be waiting for you at the end of your dive.

IN GENERAL
We go diving daily. We depart from our base where our boat stays at around 10:00 am. We visit two dive points every day if the weather permits. And at the end of the day we go back to our base. We host all our guests in our boat. This is a day that you will enjoy...

THE ONES WITHOUT A DIVING CERTIFICATE
If you are not certified as diver and want to give it a try, here is your chance. You can dive with one of our instructors one-on-one about 30 minutes. Of course prior to your dive you must be present at the 1 hour briefing of your instructor. Maximum depth is 12 meters. For more information click here.

DETAILS
IF YOU SAY 'I ENJOY DIVING': If you enjoyed diving and decided to join our family as a certified diver, then you can decide which of the PADI or CMAS training systems you prefer and start your course with Crystal Divers. Minimum age for entry level courses is 10.

EQUIPMENT: Don't worry if you don't have diving equipment. Here in Crystal Divers we have all necessary equipment for all ages and sizes. And all of them are new and well maintained.

CERTIFIED DIVERS: If you are certified by a recognized diving system (such as PADI, CMAS, BSAC, SSI) and you can prove this, you can join us in our daily tours to enjoy your two dives.

NIGHT DIVES: Have you ever had a night dive into the sleeping sea? This is the chance for certified divers to enjoy and be mystified by the magic of the sleeping waters.

SPECIAL DIVES: If there is an area of diving you are specially interested (such as deep water diving, night dive, boat dive, search and rescue) we can provide you with expert training and give your internationally recognized certificate.

THE ONES WHO DON'T WANT TO DIVE: If you are on our boat, for example with someone who is diving, and don't want to dive you can still use the fins, snorkels, and masks on board and explore the underwater world from above.

LIVE ABOARD WITH SCUBA DIVING
With a coastal line stretching more than 8000 kilometers, Turkey offers many possibilities to divers. Thanks to an attractive underwater world and underwater archaeological sites, the Aegean and Mediterranean coast of Turkey is like a diving paradise. It is possible to dive at many spots in the company of Turkish licenced diving guides. Crystal organizes 7 or 15 day dive charters.

The quality of the operation, diving equipment and education meets the highest standards. CMAS and PADI courses are available at all levels on board. Minimum age for first level courses is 10.

We have more than 10 boats available both for diving and sailing. These are wooden boats with 6-8 cabins. All boats have cabins with private wc/shower, separate quarters for the crew, are equipped with sun mattresses, sun awnings, dinghy, surf boards, fishing tackle, games and stereo besides diving equipment.

Conditions
Diving permissions, guides, compressor, tanks, weight belts are included.
Extra equipment can be rented on boat.
All equipment is new and in top condition.
Meals are not included.
Drinks are extra, available at the boat's bar.

CRYSTAL BOAT
"Crystal" is a 15 meter wooden boat with a capacity of 38 passengers, and a special diving platform at the stern. Built in 1994, Crystal is taken to land at the end of each season for maintenance and preparation for the upcoming season. Our 4,70 meter service boat equipped with a 110 HP outboard engine accompanies us at all times.

Equipment on board includes an oxygen set for two, life vests for all passengers, first aid kit, a VHF radio to contact other boats and the Coast Guard. There are three 'first aid instructors' on duty on Crystal at all times for fast action in case of emergency. In Crystal, there is a kitchen, a roomy toilet which we also use for changing clothes, an upper and a front deck for sunbathing, and a large open/closed saloon for briefings, having meals, and resting.

Crystal Divers knows the first and most important safety precaution is using the best equipment for diving, thus in our dive center we always use new and highest quality equipment. All our equipment are maintained to the highest international standards, on time.

We pick you up with our air conditioned vehicles at your hotel or house every morning of a diving day, and take you back at the end of the day. You will find attentive, clean, and safe service at all times. A safety diver accompanies almost all groups under the water. Although we never had to use it until today, it is relieving to know that there is a recompression chamber in Bodrum administered and maintained by a professional team. In all levels of our courses you will receive printed material in your language, thus you will learn faster and easier.

SCUBA DIVING IN ALANYA
The interesting flora, the variety of underwater marine life and especially the enticing underwater caverns and caves have made Alanya a popular dive. Most of the dive sites are situated around the coastline of the Alanya Castle, the steep cliffs of which turn to dramatic drop offs under the surface of the sea. The close proximity of these dive sites makes them easily accessible even by inflatables and diving three or four times a day is possible with the option of returning to base after each dive. The sites are also very suitable for night dives.

ALANYA
The Red Tower
The 33-meter tall tower was built in order to keep the harbor under surveillance at all times. The technique used in its construction, its floor plan and its construction, its floor plan and its durability make this monumental tower one of the most prominent Seljcuk monument. The octagonal tower built on rocky terrain has a diameter of 29 meters.

DAILY PROGRAM

09:45 - 10:30 Transfer to Dive Center registration and check in.
10:30 - 11:00 During journey to the morning dive sites in a friendly atmosphere the dive master gives briefing about the boat routine and the safety procedures.
11:00 - 11:15 After the briefing dive master makes the groups and the first dive starts.
13:00 - 14:30 Lunch starts. Both during lunch time and during the day there is a plenty of time to relax sunbathe and snorkel.
14:30 - 15:00 Heading off for afternoon dive in another place and second dives start.
17:00 - 17:30 Boats return at 17:30 approximately and transfer back to the hotel.

DIVE SPOTS

Aquarium
Aquarium, 5 min. sailing distance, is the closest diving location to Alanya harbour. Depth ranges from 4 to 25 meters. This location is mainly used for educational diving. Because of it's mild (favorable) whether conditions, this spot is an ideal alternative diving site. Sea bed is composed of rocks and sea weed grass. Various underwater creatures like snails, mussels, octopus, black scorpion fish, moray, soldier fish, grouper could be observed.

Amphora
Amphora is the second closest diving location. Sailing distance is approximately 5 mins. It owes name to broken pieces of amphora. Dept is max. 29 m. This location is rich in underwater life. Various underwater creatures like grouper, moray, octopus, thornback ray and pigfish could be observed. Sea bed is composed of rocks.

Pirate Cave
Pirate cave is a multi-purpose diving side for both inexperienced and experienced divers. Distance to Alanya Harbour is 8 to 10 mins. Minimum depth is 10 meters. While maximum depth is 32 m. Also, there is a wreck at 25 m. depth. Pirate's cave is an open and large cave, which does not impose any danger. Entrance to the cave starts at 12 m. depth. Right at the entrance is a ancient mill-stone 1 m in diameter. Stones in the cave reflect the light, and create a fascinating fiesta of colors. Inside the cave, divers can ascent and observe bats with flashlights. Sea bed is composed of rocks. Various underwater creatures like grouper, octopus, barracuda, shellfish, thornbackray could be observed.

Terrace
Terrace is approximately 10 min. sailing distance to Alanya Harbour. Depth is between 7 to 25 m. Sea bed is steep and is composed of rocks. Generally underwater life is basically shellfish. Close to the skirts of the mountain hidden moray can be seen.

Middle Cave
Middle cave is 12 min. distance to Alanya Harbour. Depth of the location is 15 m minimum and 34 m. maximum. Cave's entrance is located at 15 m depth. This site is ideal for experienced divers and deep-water diving.

Lovers Cave
Lovers is 15 mins. sailing distance to Alanya Harbour. Depth is between 10 to 34 m. This site is suitable for both educational diving for inexperienced and for the experienced. Sea bed is mainly rocky. It has a lively underwater life. An ancient anchor is located at 21 m depth. At 4 m depth, at the skirts of the mountain is a small and closed cave.

Dilvarda (E)
Dilvarda east is located at the east of the farthest bay to Alanya Castle. Sailing distance is 17 min. Sea bed is mainly rocky. Depth is between 5-35 m. Schools of fish can be observed. This site is most suitable for educational diving.

Dilvarda (W)
Dilvarda west is located at the west of the farthest bay to Alanya Castle. Sailing distance is 20 min. Sea bed is mainly rocky. Depth is between 5 to 40 m. this side is suitable for deep-water and current diving. It is also used for educational diving. Underwater life is rich and lively. Schools of fish can also be found.

Phosphor Cave
Sailing distance to Alanya Harbour is 20 m. Depth of the location is between 8 to 33 m. There are two cave groups one at 5 m, the other at 12 m depth. Sea bed is rocky. Underwater life is rich. This site is suitable for both licensed divers and trainees. It also allows night diving.

Broken Stone
Sailing distance to Alanya Harbour is 20 min. Depth is 5 to 20 m. Sea bed is rocky. This is an ideal site for daily diving courses. There is a 10 meter long and 2 meter wide cave located at 4 m depth at the skirts of the mountain. Underwater life is rich. Experienced divers can follow underwater course to Phosphorus cave.

Tunnel
Distance to Alanya Harbour is approximately 25 min. It is basically a tunnel, west of the castle, with it's entrance and exit located at 13 m depth. Width of the tunnel is between 3-6 m. Length of it is about 42 m. Along the tunnel there are small packets (rooms). Underwater life is rich.

Rambo
Among the diving sites, Rambo is the farthest location. This, perhaps most popular diving site, is close to Cleopatra Beach. It is approximately 25 mi. sailing distance to the harbour. At 13 m depth, a 6-7 m long tunnel, which can accommodate 5 divers, leads the way to a cave which is semi-filled with oxygen. Inside the cave there are numerous drop stones. Air vacuum in certain locations can each 10 meters. It resembles Damlataş cave, most famous and popular spot of Alanya. Sea bed is sandy. Also the cave is home to a seal, we call it "Zehra''. If you are having a lucky day you can meet "Zehra'' inside the cave. Divers are required to swim one meter above the surface so that the water does not get blurred.

We are living on a peninsula surrounded by 3 different seas, curious about the world underneath the blue surface color...You want to have a hobby which combines science, adventure, aesthetic, and sport in this day and age... Turkey offers a diverse range of diving experiences. Argos Diving Club, based in Saroz, is located just a few minutes away from Çanakkale's premier dive site, the wrecks of Gelibolu. The decision to come to and dive is an easy one but who to choose to dive with may not be so straight forward. Apart from the history, where divers used very primitive equipment, and masks made out of children's buckets, today's most scuba diving centers is equipped with a top diving technology that allows you to enjoy your underwater explorations to the maximum. Argos Diving Club offers you a well designed curriculum, which will make you a diver in just a few days! Our scuba classes consists of theory lessons (the fundamental elements of diving and basic safety rules), and practical dives in the shallow sea accompanied by friendly, and professional instructors.

Students who successfully finish their training program will receive CMAS International Diving Certificate and a CMAS Membership Card that will allow them to dive all over the world, and open a new door to further scuba adventures. Furthermore, this certification is a basic requirement for other dive shops that offer air filling for tanks. Those, who find a new passion in scuba diving, are encouraged by our center to take further qualifications, where reefs, walls, wrecks, and night dives are just appetizers on the Blue Planet's menu.

Everyone is welcome to come and dive with us. You must be 14+ years to dive, and we strongly recommend that you have a medical check-up (heart, lungs, teeth and ears) before diving. We can organize travel for the individuals or large groups to any destination you require at competitive rates.

Since 1995, Argos Diving Club has been growing not only in size, but also in experience. Frequent diving trips are organized to many diving locations of Turkey, such as Saroz Gulf, Çanakkale, Gelibolu, Dardanelles, Ayvalık, Çeşme, Bodrum, Kaş, and Kıyıköy (the Black Sea). Furthermore, we are using the latest technology (GPS and Sonar) to do a further underwater research, and make every dive a limitless opportunity to explore the undiscovered!

If you are a non-diver, you can still enjoy your time on the beach, or snorkel around in the shallow waters. Argos Diving Club is here to help you make your experience a real holiday! There is no need to bring anything with you, because we provide it all. From tents, sleeping bags, mats to full diving equipment, and food. You just lay back, relax and let us do the rest for you.

That's why us & we are different, we've dived and experienced the sea, and we care about our clients. We can organize travel for the individuals or large groups to any destination you require at competitive rates. At the end of April, when the temperatures are warm enough for diving, Argos Diving Club opens its season for customers. There are several locations around the Saroz Gulf suitable for camping and diving purposes.

In the past, Argos Diving Club traveled to various destinations every weekend, such as Gökçetepe (a nice camping area with a nearby pine forest, just a few steps away from the beach), and Gökçeada (a nature paradise island). At last, Argos has found the perfect place for its customers who enjoy nights under the open sky, with an unforgettable view of the moon, the sea, and the mountains: the beach of Uzunkum. Since last year, we have made Uzunkum our fixed camp base... our home.

You don't need to be a diver to join us in our camp. Our facilities are open to everyone. Put on your shoes, and go hiking on the rocky hills and smell the pines. Put your swimsuit on, and get some tan, or refresh yourself at the sea!

COURSES
Safety is a number one priority in Argos Diving Center. We provide safe and professional training. Since our inauguration in 1995, we have trained nearly 400 CMAS 1* OWD, 75 CMAS 2* OWD, 37 CMAS 3* OWD and 23 CMAS 1*&2** Diving Instructors.

Our training consists of 2 parts. In the first one, students will learn the fundamental elements of diving and basic safety rules (trainee gets his/her training book and CD's and 8 hours of lessons with the help of CD's and Dia show). Second part consists of 2 days of practice, which include 3 knowledge development dives and 2 open water dives (total of 5 dives). After finishing the training successfully, the trainees becomes a qualified CMAS 1* Diver.

What is C.M.A.S.?
In 1959, delegates of 15 different countries formed Confederation Mondiale des Activites Subaquatiques (The World Confederation of Sub aquatic Activities) in Monaco under the direction of famous Marine Biologist Jean-Jacques Cousteau. CMAS today is found in 178 countries worldwide, registered millions of member divers, and thousands of diving schools. It is the world's leading Diver Training Organization that is known for active help in scientific, sportive, technical and medical fields.

C.M.A.S diver and diving instructor training system is a step-by-step learning system where you advance yourself from the easiest level to the professional and master degree. All the training steps consist of different theoretical and practical information gains. The aim of the training is to gain all necessary knowledge and skills and to reach the required standards.

OUR FAVORITE DESTINATIONS

Argos Diving Club is an expert in diving sites that the Northern part of Aegean Sea has to offer. From Saroz Bay to Çanakkale, Gelibolu, Gökçeada or Ayvalık, it offers the best that is to see in the depths of local waters. Thanks to rich historical events that took place here in the past, Argos Diving Club has named this place "The Graveyard of the Aegean". A variety of shipwrecks and artifacts to be seen are only a proof that this nickname is deserved.

Argos Diving Club uses zodiacs and a new dive boat called "3 SEAS" as a mean of transportation to the more distant places. Every dive we make is an experience itself, and everyone is welcome to join us aboard!

There are plenty of other locations we like to visit during the summer, such as Kale Koyu-Asker Taşı (reef), Uzunkum-Toplar Burnu (wall), Ibrice, Gökçetepe (reef), Kömür Limanı (wall), Minnoş Kayalıkları (reef), Despot (wall), Bebek Kayalıkları (reef), Çeşme, Bodrum, and Kıyıköy (practice of a hard-hat method of diving). Besides the Aegean Sea, Argos Diving Club also organizes diving trips to further locations in the Mediterranean Sea, the Red Sea or the Black Sea.

SAROZ BAY

North Aegean Sea
Geographic Coordinates : Latitude 40° 30' 00" N - Longitude 26° 19' 60" E

Asker Taşı (Soldier Stone)
Asker Taşı is situated at Uzunkum region which is just a few hundred meters away from Cape Toplar. The reef is 1 mile out in the sea and has a diameter of approximately 250 meters. The upper part starts about 12 meters under the water and finishes off at 33 meters. The rocky formation mirrors the richness of Saroz. The tens of varieties of nudibranches close to 15 cm, and European lobsters increase in number in September.

Cape Toplar
It is the only place in the west of Ibrice harbor that provides opportunities for deep diving. There is the possibility of finding many coves covered with multicolored sponges which are home to the moray eel, conger eel (Conger conger), several species of scorpion fish and octopuses. You will especially see the crawfish during your deep wall dives which will inspect you with curious eyes. Cape Toplar can provide you with a diving opportunity of up to 50 meters and is besieged in the summertime by strong afternoon winds. Thus I advise you to make the first deep dive of the day at this point. May I also suggest a night dive for the experienced divers and photographers.

Ibrice Harbor
This is a harbor hidden between the steep rocks that descend into the sea. You can drive up to the beach and make any kind of dive you desire. Those who come here to dive generally stay at the hotels in Keşan or camp out. You can enter the sea either from the place where the lighthouse is or from the beach next to it. The magnificent underwater colors and living forms await you at 3 meters. These waters that will give you a different excitement in each season also provides an opportunity for deep diving because they reach 45 meters.

Üç Adalar (Three Islands)
Three Islands consists of one large and two small islands. This is the place to go diving when there is a strong wind at the other diving pints at Ibrice inlet or Gьneyli harbour. The secluded spots of the island provide a good place for trainees and experienced divers. You may encounter many broken amphora at the south end point of the big island. It is also possible that you may see many varieties of fish like locust lobster (Scyllarides latus), blotched pickerel (Spiarca maena) and salpa (Sarpa salpa) among the rocks covered with multicolored sponges while the dentex accompany you. The other islands, besides the big island, are not of much interest for scuba divers.

Minnoş Island
This magnificent rock rises 15 meters above the surface of the sea and will take you from the first meters into a world of orange colored hard corals. Do not exceed the maximum depth of 40 meters by getting enraptured in this beautiful world that continues into very deep waters. You can make a complete tour of the island during your dive. If you are very lucky the dolphins and sea turtles that escape from the fishing nets in the open waters of the island will come. You can encounter the large spotted dogfish (Scyiorhinus stellaris), angler fish (Lophius piscatorius) or large skates where the rocks finish and the sand starts.

Bebek (Baby) Rocks
They are the last magnificent rocks to see before the Saroz bay joins the Aegean Sea. Divers experienced in currents will enjoy the variety of colors and life forms. The rocks that rise a few meters from the surface of the sea continue hundreds of meters below. They are home to at least 6 separate diving spots and are the place where the crustaceans change their shells in the month of April. After 12 meters, the coves of these colorful rocks are home to moray eels. You will experience the thrill of your life as you go deeper when a dolphin, angler fish or a large spotted dogfish appears suddenly in front of your eyes. Who knows you may even encounter a huge sea turtle. It is a paradise for macro photographs even though it is a region where one has to use a wide angle lenses. If you have not dived at these rocks that means you have not dived in Saroz.

ÇANAKKALE (The Dardanelles)

The Wreck of Lundy
Make Lundy your first experience if you never dove to a sunken ship before. The 1908 model 188 ton wreck is located at Suvla bay (between Cape Büyük Kemikli and Cape Küçük Kemikli). According to sources, the British decided to withdraw from Arıburnu and Suvla bay on December 7th, leaving behind many equipment of war. This was after the French and Russians supported the decision to withdraw suggested by Lord Kitchener to the British Council of Ministers. They sunk 5 large ships and over 60 transport boats in the region between Suvla bay and Arıburnu. This ship which is thought to have had a 12 member crew, has been our guest for the past 84 years and is host to our underwater history in the region. You can see the silhouette of the boat at 13 meters and tour the deck of the boat and the conning bridge at 18 meters. It sits at 28-30 meters and still possesses its propeller.

Refinery Ship
This is the second spot generally frequented because it is situated inside the Suvla bay and is not affected by strong weathers. The ship is still in possession of its broiler that was used to distil pure water from seawater for the soldiers during wartime. This ship that fought for many years is now buried in the sand at 14 meters depth.

Cape Küçük Kemikli
Cape Küçük Kemikli with its endless sandy beaches is an ideal spot for the training of beginner divers. This long beach of approximately 7 kilometers is protected with all its natural characters. The beach which is always quiet except on weekends when campers and divers arrive is also the place where the Anzacs landed. There are many monumental cemeteries on these lands that survived through two big wars such as Büyük Anafartalar and Küçük Anafartalar. The two picturesque villages that gave their names to these wars provide interesting photographs with their village houses and coffee houses. During the landing of the Anzacs and British soldiers in the past, the location buoys they threw over were dragged towards the mountainous regions instead of the valleys by the strong currents, making them land in the wrong place. This strong current has lost nothing of its power. You will encounter magnificent rocky areas during dives. The underwater structure resembles that of Cape Büyük Kemikli and is a beautiful spot with crawfish, groupers, two banded sea breams and a colorful underwater life.

British and Anzacs Boats
Hundreds of boats had been used during the sea and land landings. Most of these can be found on the beaches at Arıburnu and Küçük Kemikli. You can see many examples on the beach and also 3-5 meters under the sea between Arıburnu and Suvla bay where the British and Anzacs soldiers landed. The two largest of the group are the most important points for diving today. These two landing boats lie on the sand close to Kabatepe harbour. They are positioned in the open seas of Arıburnu at 42 meters and inside Suvla Bay at 27 meters and can be noticed from the first meters by their dark shadows. The upper rails of the wreck covered with large peacock worms and purple colored sponges are like a grill. Conger eels and prawns are frequently encountered creatures.

Majestic
The majestic was built in 1895 and was the oldest warship of the British. Winston Churchill, while planning the Gallipoli War, had declared that the ship was too old to be used. The other high ranked authorities, thinking that the Dardanelles and Istanbul would be easily captured, incorporated the ship into the fleet regardless of the warnings. Diving to this ship which took part in the sea landing of March 18th is altogether another experience. When you see a black and white photograph of this ship at the museum, your excitement will be twice fold. The wreck is situated at Morto Bay close to Seddülbahir, which is the exact end point of the Dardanelles Strait. This 1895 model British ship was sunk by a torpedo from U-21 German submarine. The ship with a length of 119 meters weighed 14.900 tons and sunk with a crew of 757 on the coasts of Çanakkale. The silhouette of the ship appears at 15 meters. The underwater fauna around the sill active bombs, the turning base of the ship's cannon, the chimneys and the observation tower that lies sideways is of great interest especially for the photographers.

Landing Boats
These boats are situated under the Seddьlbahir lighthouse just after the bay of Morto outside the Dardanelles strait. Two landing boats lie next to each other on the sand at close to 30 meters of depth. Troll boats which are generally used for whale hunting, served during the war for mine searchers and land attacks. There are schools of two banded sea breams inside the ship and you can encounter the angler fish, large spotted dogfish and skates at the sandy areas close by.

German Torpedo Ship
At the time, the British war ships Inflexible and Irresistible were cannoning the Çanakkale coasts during First World War, the Germans, as allies of the Ottoman Empire had their headquarters at the place where Çimenlik fortress is situated. One of the bombs that was thrown, fell close to the German headquarters. The soldiers were immediately evacuated from their barracks into the torpedo ship that was anchored on the coast and tried to escape through the strait. However, one of the bombshells from the Irresistible ended the life of the German ship on March 18th, 1915. The ship with a crew of 1315 sunk just outside the present yacht marina in Зanakkale. It is situated at 16 meters right in the middle of the Dardanelles strait where the sea traffic is the heaviest.
